Regular Attendance In Your Lodge

Attendance in Lodge is a commitment that we promise to honour. Imposing this presence on everyone is not a simple formality or a request, it is an absolute necessity. There are several reasons for this. Once we have explained them, you will understand why the entrance process is so long and complex.

A Lodge is composed of Brothers and Sisters and each of the members of the Lodge has followed the same path, i.e. the application, the investigations, then Initiation. If a new member is present, it is the result of their will, but also of the majority will of the other members. It must therefore be understood that when a Lodge votes in favour of the entry of a candidate, the physical Chain of Fraternity is reinforced with a new link. If this link is not present during future meetings, an element is missing and the work can no longer be the same.

Let us give you an example. Imagine you engage in an adoption procedure to welcome a new member into your family. Your parents carry out the administrative procedure and then, one day, you meet your new Brother. You take this new Brother to your heart. Then, a few years later, this Brother, for no reason, or perhaps for a very good reason, no longer comes to family reunions. The family loses a member and can no longer generate the same collective energy (which is called "the egregore" in Masonic circles).
